Happy National Nurses Week

This week we want to take a moment to thank the nurses that work with us every day at Nanowear for all their hard work, as well as all nurses out there that are heroes in the medical system. We hope to make more tools in the future to continue to assist you in your daily work.

Nurses are the majority of the US healthcare workforce: with over 5 million Registered Nurses (RN’s) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN’s) practicing in the United States. There are approximately four nurses to each physician in the US healthcare population. Nurses play a vital role in keeping our healthcare system running: they are on the front line and often are the main point of contact for patients throughout their healthcare journey.

At Nanowear we have developed a first in class remote patient monitoring system using our proprietary nanotechnology based cloth sensors called SimpleSense™ that enhances nurses’ connections to their patients, allowing them to learn more about their personalized health conditions. It enables nurses to identify patients’ complications earlier to intervene and prevent illness.

Feedback from nurses on SimpleSense™ includes that it enhances their ability to care for their patients. We believe the benefits of SimpleSense™ to nurses include:

  • Reassurance and decreased anxiety with patients returning home after dependence on in-person monitoring at the hospital.

  • Ability to obtain an accurate heart and lung evaluation from the comfort of a patient’s home

  • Objective assessment of the heart and lungs congruently, aiding earlier diagnosis and intervention to prevent problems.

  • Improved connection with chronic disease patients, and increased adherence to prescribed protocol as our non-invasive monitoring device is easy to use remotely.

From all of us at Nanowear, a big thank you to our nurses.
